snack. Breakfast will be served around 8:00a, lunch around 12:00p and snack
around 3:45p. Infants will be fed on demand.
Supplies:
Parent/guardian will provide diapers, diaper wipes,
any ointment (Desitin etc.), formula and baby bottles or sippy cups. We will notify you if items are running low. All items need
to be marked with the child’s name. Parent/guardian will provide two changes of clothes to be
left at daycare – replacing as needed. Also appropriate outerwear for outside
play is important, please pay daily attention to the changes in weather and
dress your child appropriately as we do lots of outside play, weather permitting. We will supply pack and plays and sleep mats,
pillows (if age appropriate), and blankets for your child. If your child has a
favorite sleeping blanket or stuffed toy, he/she may bring them to sleep with.
Attendance:
Fees are based on your child’s scheduled hours and
days of attendance, not on actual hours of attendance. Fees will be charged based on contracted days, including missed days due to
illness, holidays, parent vacations, or inclement weather. No refunds or deductions will be made for days your child is absent. You are paying for your child’s child
care space as well as for our services.
Sick and Vacation Days:
In the event that your child is ill and needs to miss a
day, please call. If you plan to go on vacation and your child will not attend
child care for an extended period, please let Jenny know in advance.
Ducky Duddles Daycare charges fees even if the child is out because the spot is
taken. You will be responsible for paying these fees.
Holidays and Vacations:
Ducky Duddles Daycare holidays are New Year's Day,
Easter, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, the Friday
after Thanksgiving, and Christmas Day. Ducky Duddles Daycare will be closed on these
days. When a holiday falls on a Saturday, Ducky Duddles Daycare will be closed the
preceding Friday when a holiday falls on a Sunday, Ducky Duddles Daycare will be
closed the following Monday. You will be
notified of these days far in advance.
Although very rewarding, child care is also a very
high-stress occupation. In order for us to be the best providers that we can
be, we will need time to relax with our families, accomplish household or child
care projects, or attend training seminars and conferences. Each year
Ducky Duddles Daycare may take up to two weeks vacation time. Ducky Duddles Daycare will
give no less than two weeks advance notice of all vacation dates. Parents are
responsible for making other arrangements for children while Ducky Duddles Daycare is
closed.
Occasionally, we may need to take additional days
off for appointments, family activities, attend trainings, or for personal
days. Employees will try to schedule these days as far in advance as
possible so that you can arrange other care for your child if necessary.
Parent’s Vacations:
You shall notify Jenny at least two weeks in
advance if your child will be absent due to family vacation. This will help us
so that we may be able to adjust our schedule if needed. Full payment is
required for any days your child is absent. Remember, you are paying for your
child’s child care space.
Holidays/Birthdays:
Ducky Duddles Daycare honors major holidays and all
children’s birthdays. You are more than welcome to participate in any
activities we have planned. Children’s birthdays are celebrated on the birthday
or close to it. Ducky Duddles Daycare employees will celebrate the following holidays
with the children: Valentine’s Day, St. Patrick’s Day, Easter,
Memorial Day, Independence Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. We will
also celebrate the changing of the seasons with the children.
Meals:
Well-balanced breakfasts, snacks and lunches will be
provided. Meals
and snacks are served family style. Children are encouraged to use this time to
talk about the day’s experiences with each other. Manners are taught and
practiced during this time as well. We will inform you if we notice any change
in your child’s eating habits. Adjustments can be made if your child requires a special
diet. Please let Jenny know if your child needs an adjusted feeding schedule.
